The Freedom Networker respects your privacy and is committed to handling personal information responsibly.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we use it, how information may be used across The Freedom Networker network, when it may be shared with service providers or other parties, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights available to you.
Our approach is straightforward: we use information to provide a better experience, communicate with you, provide useful and relevant resources, understand what is working, protect and improve our websites and services, and operate our business responsibly.
We do not sell your personal information.
1. THE FREEDOM NETWORKER NETWORK
The Freedom Networker operates a connected network of related websites, tools, online resources and services.
Information collected through one part of The Freedom Networker network may be used across the network when appropriate to recognize you, communicate with you, provide information or resources, understand your experience, make our websites and resources more useful and efficient, and improve what we offer.
We may add, remove or change websites, tools, resources or services within The Freedom Networker network over time without requiring this Privacy Policy to serve as a directory of those properties.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY COLLECT
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect the following categories of information:
Contact information, such as your name, email address and telephone number when you choose to provide them.
Information you provide, such as form responses, questionnaire answers, preferences, questions, feedback and other information you voluntarily submit.
Website and device information, such as pages visited, links used, referring sources, browser or device information, approximate geographic area derived from technical information, and interactions with our websites, videos, forms and tools.
Preference information, including communication preferences, privacy choices and information about the types of resources or opportunities that interest you.
Relationship information, such as information reasonably necessary to understand or maintain a customer, representative, prospect or other business relationship with us.
Source and referral information, such as which source, link, campaign or shared resource brought you to us.
We may collect information directly from you, automatically through your interaction with our network, through links or resources associated with our network, or from service providers or other sources where permitted by law.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information unless it is reasonably necessary for a disclosed purpose and permitted by applicable law.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use personal information to:
- provide information, tools, resources or services you request;
- communicate with you and respond to questions or requests;
- personalize and improve your experience;
- recognize returning visitors where appropriate;
- connect activity across The Freedom Networker network where permitted;
- understand which websites, pages, tools, resources and communications are useful;
- understand which sources or shared resources brought visitors to us;
- improve our websites, resources, communications, training and services;
- measure and improve marketing and advertising;
- maintain appropriate customer, representative, prospect and business relationship records;
- maintain security, detect or prevent misuse and troubleshoot problems;
- protect our rights, users, websites and business;
- comply with applicable legal, accounting, regulatory and contractual obligations; and
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims when reasonably necessary.
We seek to collect and use information that is reasonably relevant to these purposes rather than collecting personal information simply because technology allows us to do so.
4. CONNECTING YOUR EXPERIENCE ACROSS OUR NETWORK
When permitted by your privacy choices and applicable law, we may use first-party identifiers, cookies and similar technologies to understand how visitors use and move between websites, tools and resources within The Freedom Networker network.
This helps us recognize returning visitors where appropriate, understand which resources are useful, make our network easier and more efficient to use, provide more relevant information and improve your overall experience.
If you identify yourself to us, such as by providing your email address through a form, we may associate information about your interactions with our network with your record so we can better communicate with you, provide relevant resources and understand your experience.
Where applicable law requires consent before particular analytics, advertising or similar technologies are used, those technologies will not be used until the required permission has been provided.
5. PERSONAL LINKS AND RECOGNITION
Some communications may contain a personal link that allows one of our websites or resources to recognize you and associate that visit with an existing record.
Personal links are designed not to contain your name, email address or other directly identifying personal information in the web address.
Because someone using a personal link may be recognized as the person to whom the link was issued, please do not forward or share a personal link intended specifically for you.
We may disable, expire or replace personal links when appropriate.
6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies, first-party identifiers and similar technologies for purposes such as remembering privacy choices, providing website functionality, recognizing returning visitors where permitted, understanding website usage, connecting activity within The Freedom Networker network where permitted, measuring the effectiveness of resources and communications, maintaining security, improving website performance, and distinguishing internal, testing or automated activity from visitor activity.
Some technologies may be necessary for our websites and resources to function properly. Others may depend upon your privacy choices, location or applicable law.
Where required, we provide controls that allow you to make applicable choices concerning analytics, advertising and similar technologies.
7. SMS/TEXT MESSAGING PRIVACY
If you provide your mobile number and expressly consent to receive text messages, we may send SMS messages in accordance with the consent you provided.
Depending upon the type of SMS communications you elect to receive, messages may include customer care, requested information, follow-up, onboarding, account or service information, training, reminders, business updates, and marketing communications regarding products, services, resources, or business opportunities.
We do not sell or share your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in data, SMS consent, or text messaging information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
We may disclose information to service providers that assist us in operating our SMS program, such as telecommunications carriers, messaging platforms, technology providers, and other vendors acting on our behalf. These providers may use the information only as necessary to provide services to us or as otherwise permitted by law.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to an SMS message to opt out of future messages of that type. Reply HELP for assistance.
Your consent to receive marketing text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
8. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell your personal information.
Information may be used within The Freedom Networker network as described in this policy.
We may also provide personal information to service providers that help us operate our business. Categories of service providers may include website and technology providers, hosting and data-storage providers, communications providers, analytics providers, security providers, customer and business-management systems, payment or transaction providers where applicable, and advertising or marketing providers.
We provide or make information available to these providers only as reasonably necessary for legitimate business purposes and subject to appropriate safeguards where required.
As stated above, mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in/consent information are not sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.
We may use analytics and advertising services to measure marketing effectiveness and, where permitted, provide or measure more relevant advertising.
Some privacy laws use terms such as “sharing,” “targeted advertising,” or “cross-context behavioral advertising” to describe certain advertising-related uses or disclosures of information even when personal information is not sold for money. Where applicable law gives you a right to opt out of those activities, we honor that right.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, legal process or governmental requirements; protect our rights or property; protect the rights, safety or security of others; investigate fraud or misuse; enforce agreements; or protect the security and integrity of our business and systems.
If our business or relevant assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale or similar business transaction, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law and appropriate protections.
9. ADVERTISING AND PRIVACY CHOICES
Where applicable, you may use Your Privacy Choices on our websites to exercise choices concerning targeted advertising or legally defined sale or sharing of personal information.
We honor qualifying Global Privacy Control (GPC) and other legally recognized universal opt-out signals where required by applicable law.
When you exercise an applicable opt-out, we apply that choice across our network and, where we are able to associate visits or devices with your record, to information we have connected to you.
To protect your privacy and prevent another person from changing your choices, we may require appropriate verification before a privacy restriction associated with an identified person is reversed.
Opting out of targeted advertising or certain legally defined sharing does not automatically unsubscribe you from communications you requested or otherwise agreed to receive. You may use the unsubscribe mechanism provided in applicable marketing communications to change those communication preferences.
10. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING WHERE REQUIRED
In jurisdictions that require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, including where applicable in the European Economic Area and United Kingdom, we process personal information based on one or more of the following:
Consent, when you have given us permission for a particular activity and consent is the appropriate legal basis.
Contract or steps requested by you, when processing is necessary to provide something you requested or to take steps at your request before entering into an agreement.
Legitimate interests, when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, understand and improve our business, websites, communications and services, provided those interests are not overridden by your applicable rights and interests.
Legal obligations, when processing is necessary to comply with applicable law.
Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, subject to applicable law. Withdrawal does not make processing that occurred before withdrawal unlawful.
11. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Privacy rights vary depending on where you live and which laws apply.
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:
- know whether we process personal information about you;
- request access to personal information we maintain about you;
- request correction of inaccurate personal information;
- request deletion of personal information;
- obtain a portable copy of certain personal information;
- withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- object to or request restriction of certain processing where applicable;
- opt out of targeted advertising or certain legally defined sale or sharing;
- opt out of certain profiling or automated decision-making where applicable; and
- appeal a decision we make concerning a privacy-rights request where applicable.
We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
We may need to verify your identity before completing certain requests. This protects personal information from being accessed, changed or deleted by someone who is not authorized to do so.
Some information may be retained when permitted or required by law, including when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, completing transactions, maintaining legally required records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements or establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
To submit a privacy request, contact:
tom@thefreedomnetworker.com
We will respond in accordance with the time periods and procedures required by applicable law.
12. APPEALS AND COMPLAINTS
If we deny or are unable to fulfill a privacy request and applicable law gives you a right to appeal, you may appeal by replying to our response or emailing tom@thefreedomnetworker.com and stating that you are requesting an appeal of a privacy decision.
We will review the appeal and respond as required by applicable law.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to contact or lodge a complaint with the privacy, data-protection, consumer-protection or other regulatory authority responsible for privacy matters in your jurisdiction.
Nothing in this Privacy Policy limits rights that cannot legally be limited.
13. HOW LONG WE KEEP INFORMATION
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is used, subject to applicable legal, accounting, security and legitimate business requirements.
Detailed identifiable records concerning how you use our websites and resources may be retained for up to 24 months, after which we anonymize the information or otherwise remove identifying connections from that journey information.
For customers and representatives, we may retain the minimum relationship information reasonably necessary while that relationship is active and for up to seven years after it ends where there is a legitimate business, accounting, dispute, legal or compliance reason to do so.
Privacy choices, requests and related records may be retained as reasonably necessary to document, administer and continue honoring those choices and to meet applicable legal requirements.
When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize or otherwise dispose of it in accordance with applicable requirements.
We do not retain identifiable information longer than reasonably necessary merely because a maximum retention period has not yet expired.
14. INFORMATION SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, acquisition, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.
Our safeguards are designed to be appropriate to the nature of the information and our business.
However, no website, electronic transmission, network or data-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. We therefore cannot guarantee absolute security.
15. INTERNATIONAL VISITORS AND DATA TRANSFERS
The Freedom Networker operates from the United States. If you access or use our network from another country, your personal information may be processed or stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.
Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers of personal information, we use appropriate measures designed to provide the required level of protection.
16. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Our websites, resources and services are intended for adults and are not directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child in circumstances where we should not have done so, we will take appropriate steps to delete or otherwise address that information.
17. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy as our websites, resources, services, technology, business practices or legal obligations change.
When we make changes, we will update the Last Updated date. If a change materially affects how we use personal information or the choices available to you, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by applicable law.
